Fortnite: Battle Royale Headed to Mobile Devices

It isn’t exactly a shocker to report that Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode has been a massive success for Epic Games, given the popularity of the genre right now. It is a bit more of a shocker to learn that the developers are now planning to bring the game to mobile devices. Well, less of a shocker when you realize that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is hitting mobile devices in China, but the fact that Fortnite: Battle Royale is being brought to Android and iOS devices in the West is still a pretty big announcement.

The reveal has been brief, simply promising that this mobile version of the game’s Battle Royale mode will have the same graphics, gameplay, content, maps, and everything else that the PC and console versions of the game have, even supporting Cross Play for PS4 and PC. In addition, an Invite Event will be starting on Monday, March 12 where players can sign up at the game’s official site to get the first codes for the initial version of the game. The event will be for iOS 11, with Android support to come in the following months. So stay tuned in the following weeks and months to see if Fortnite: Battle Royale is just as good on your phone as it is on the big screen.
