Logitech Introduces LIGHTSYNC Technology to New PC Hardware

Making your gaming rig setup shine and sparkle has become a huge driving force behind PC gaming. RGB lighting is being used to create moods and atmospheres as it helps define each specific person as a gamer. Logitech continues to offer new technology to bring competitive advantages to PC players and now will be diving into the RGB market. LIGHTSYNC is an interactive lighting technology that responds to in-game events, and the technology is customizable at that. Lighting can be personalized for each individual key on a keyboard or for custom animations. The first new products to introduce LIGHTSYNC will be the Logitech G513 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard and the Logitech G560 PC Gaming Speaker.

The ideal keyboard for the gaming enthusiast, The Logitech G513 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is the evolution of the G413. The new keyboard will incorporate the new LIGHTSYNC technology that will deliver a dynamic experience that features those customized animations that were mentioned above along with in-game integrations from approximately 16.8 million colors. All of this will be customized through the Logitech Gaming Software application. As for the hardware side of the G513, players can choose from Romer-G Linear or Romer-G Tactile switches to match their play preferences. The Tactile version gives discernible actuation for gamers who prefer direct feedback, whereas the linear version allows for a smoother keystroke. Romer-G is mechanical key switches are 25% faster than standard mechanical switches and feature less noise.

On its surface, the Logitech G513 will be built off of the award-winning design of the G413. The keyboard features an anodized and brushed aircraft-grade 5052 aluminum top case for a slim and premium design that includes rigid durability. The G513 also comes with a palm rest made of memory foam and leatherette for extreme comfort, durability, longevity and easy upkeep. It’s environmentally friendly, waterproof and resistant to abrasions, aging, alcohol and chemicals. So this will not crack and peel over time. Lastly, the G513 includes a USB Passthrough Port that connects a USB 2.0 cable. Players can charge devices, plug in controllers or literally anything that uses a USB port and the PC will recognize this. The Logitech G513 will retail for $149.99 and is available in April.

The other piece of hardware to initially include the LIGHTSYNC isn’t necessarily an input device, but rather helps to complete your custom setup while offering an excellent sound experience. With 240 Watts of peak power and including DTS:X Positional 3D Audio technology, the Logitech G560 PC Gaming Speaker will match your on-screen action in real-time. Rather it be games, music or movies, LIGHTSYNC will blast light to match these actions. This can also be customized in the Logitech Gaming Software and players can pull colors and schemes directly from what is on their screen. The G560 Audio Visualizer can be connected via Bluetooth, USB or 3.5″ jack. Low-volume response creates a soft breathing effect while high-volume lighting pulses to the beat. Rear lights take the bass and fronts take mids and highs to blend a compelling experience.

The G560 consists of a 2.1 speaker system and a down-firing subwoofer. DTS:X Ultra will render a 3D soundscape for games. The music will take multi-channel music sources such as 5.1 or 7.1 surround and make it a multi-dimensional experience as each channel of the mix takes a unique position for heightened realism. Lastly, the G560 will include Logitech Easy-Switch for seamlessly switching between four connected devices. This will include not waiting for your Bluetooth device to sync. The Logitech G560 PC Gaming Speaker System will retail for $199.99 and will also be available in April.
