Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taishi Unique Systems Detailed

Koei-Tecmo released more details for the upcoming Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taishi and what fans can expect for it.  The publisher discussed several of the games systems, and it started by pulling back the curtain on the game’s newest feature: the “Resolve System.”

Under the Resolve System, each move players make will have several “aspirations” added to it. These aspirations determine how an officer would act in a given situation. Fulfilling these aspirations will usually be worthwhile, as they grant bonuses ranging from increased gold to boosted attack damage. To compliment this system, the series’ “Council System” has been adjusted to allow attending officers to approve new policies. According to Koei-Tecmo, the idea here is to create situations where each officers would have their own set of aspirations to pursue, which should influence whether or not they agree with a given policy.

Alongside these additions, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taishi will utilize a two-turn battle system: planning and execution. The planning phase allows players to get everything set up just the way they want it, while execution sees the resulting battle play out. Players will also be able to give themselves advantages in battle by utilizing the game’s civics system to improve their domain. There’s a lot going on here, so hopefully fans will get a worthwhile addition to the series once June rolls around.
