Mario Tennis Aces isn’t due out for nearly another month – but Switch owners can download the demo now via the eShop. However, this is essentially just a pre-load of the data as the actual game won’t be playable until June 1 through June 3. It’s a very limited-time demo offering, but one that Nintendo has done before for Splatoon 2 and ARMS, to great success. With ARMS, it allowed a new IP to shine before its release and Splatoon 2’s online event gave players a chance to see the upgraded graphics and refined gameplay in action for themselves. Aces is an important game for Nintendo right now since they want to redeem themselves after a lackluster Wii U entry and having it do well means that Mario Tennis would be back in the hunt as a major franchise for Nintendo.
