Shadow of the Tomb Raider could be actress Camilla Luddington last round as Lara Croft.
Luddington, who took up the venerable role starting in 2013s Tomb Raider reboot, is prepared to say goodbye to Lara. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Luddington revealed that she always knew that this would be a trilogy, and she left the set thinking Shadow of the Tomb Raider would be the last title. However, she did leave open the possibility of returning to the role in future titles. That decision lies with publisher Square Enix.
The interview also touched upon other aspects of Luddington’s role as Lara Croft. She said she’d love to play Lara Croft in a live-action film or TV series, but that she’s more than happy portraying her in-game. She’s also excited for her daughter to play Tomb Raider, when she’s the appropriate age, of course. You can view the whole interview here.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
