Halloween may be approaching fast, but for gamers lurking around the San Francisco area, another important holiday comes soon afterward: Day of the Devs. Heading into its sixth year, Double Fine and iam8bit’s day-long festival featuring over seventy unreleased indie games shows no signs of dropping quality anytime soon. A completely free event, Day of the Devs will also feature live music by Doseone, Chipzel, and Hydelic, along with food and art to enjoy.
And as seen in the trailer below, the lineup of games for this year’s event may be one of their strongest yet. Desert Child! Killer Queen Black! Afterparty! Ikenfell! Eastward! Genesis Noir! Knights and Bikes! Kingdom…Hearts III? Huh. Much like Ni No Kuni II from last year, it feels like a comparatively odd inclusion, but still a welcome one. Not to mention additional games from Girls Make Games and Gameheads as well, which are just as welcome. You can check out the full lineup at the official Day of the Devs site.
Day of the Devs 2018 takes place on November 11 at The Midway, from 3 PM to 9 PM. As with previous events, however, those with VIP access can get in early from 1 PM to 3 PM. VIP access will be available in a forthcoming Humble Bundle like before, so keep an eye out for it soon. As mentioned earlier, admission to Day of the Devs is free, so make sure to drop by if you’re around.
