The newest expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online, Murkmire, is now live. New and dedicated players alike can now delve into Argonia’s most secret spaces and claim the treasures within. Beware though, Murkmire is every bit as treacherous a place as Morrowind; those artifacts won’t be claimed easily.
Argonia rarely, if ever, receives the spotlight in the Elders Scrolls games. So with Murkmire, fans have a golden opportunity to learn more about the Argonian civilization. One doesn’t even have to play to get a better feel for the Argonians as a people. Their temples are rendered in a manner similar to the Mayans or Aztecs, and some of the art seen here appears to be even more ancient. This implies that their civilization is quite old indeed, perhaps even more so than some of the elves and human civilizations. This of course means they’ve had plenty of time to think up superbly terrible traps for anyone foolish enough to enter their temples without permission.
