FoxNext Games today announced Alien: Blackout for iOS and Android devices.
Those looking forward to face off against the terrifying Alien get that chance in Alien: Blackout. Players will make perilous choices as they attempt to keep Amanda Ripley’s crew alive against the fearsome creature. With only damaged controls to serve you, every choice you make alters the trajectory of the story.
Alien: Blackout takes place between the events of Alien and Aliens. Trapped on a crippled Weyland-Yutani space station, you must use the station’s limited power supply to operate a holographic map, cameras, and motion tracker to remain hidden and guide your crew to safety. Who survives and who dies determined the ultimate outcome of the story.
Alien: Blackout is the first Alien developed game to come out of FoxNext Games since its formation. No word yet on when it’ll launch. However, those upset that this isn’t a console title shouldn’t get upset. A console title set in the Aliens world is currently under development at Cold Iron Studios. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about that title soon.
