DICE today announced the arrival of the second chapter of content for Battlefield V.
Lightning Strikes in Battlefield V as DICE unleashes a new wave of content on January 17. Throughout the remainder of January and the month of February, players can engage with the new content, including the return of a fan favorite multiplayer mode.
Perhaps the most promising of the new content is Combined Arms, Battlefield V’s co-op mode. In Combine Arms, a squad of allies team up to complete objectives in various scenarios. Unfortunately, the mode won’t be available until some time in February.
The event kicks off with Squad Conquest, a smaller more tactical version of conquest. 16 players on two teams fight over three flags with respawning restricted to HQs. The mode’ll be available on the Arras, Rotterdam, and Hamada maps. Later on in the event, Rush returns to the Battlefield franchise. The beloved mode sees attackers assault various tac-com stations as defenders attempt to repel them.
In addition, Lightning Strikes adds in a new Grand Operation, new customization options, and new weapons. Players can earn the Zk-383 SMG, Modele 1944 semi-automatic rifle, and M1922 MMG by completing challenges in Tides of War. Regrettably, Lightning Strike does not include a new multiplayer map.
Battlefield V is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
