Open-World Action RPG Game Dysmantle is Coming to Console, PC

Dysmantle, an open-world action RPG title, will be making its way to console and PC, 10tons today announced.

According to the developer and publisher, the title will arrive first on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC in late 2019.

It has also been confirmed that mobile versions of the title — presumably for both iOS and Android devices — will be released at a later date.

Dysmantle puts players on a dystopian island where time has stopped between the 1970s and the 1990s.

Players take control of a character emerging from an underground shelter, leaving them in a position to uncover the mysteries surrounding the island and to find a way of escaping from it.

The Finnish developer claims that 99 percent of the objects can be dismantled for materials, which allows players to craft tools, weapons, outfits and trinkets.

“Dysmantle is a very ambitious game for our studio as it combines lots of different games and genres we love,” says Tero Alatalo, the CEO of 10tons.

“In addition to our own spices, we’re mixing together what we think are the tastiest parts of the latest [Legend of] Zelda, Stardew Valley, Subnautica, SteamWorld Dig and Dark Souls and brewing it into a uniquely satisfying experience you’ve never played before.

“We are very eager to see the reception of this one.”
