Life Is Strange 2 Developer Drops Launch Trailer for Episode 2: Rules

Square Enix and Dontnod Entertainment today released the launch trailer for Life Is Strange 2 Episode 2: Rules.

The trailer, which is posted below, shows Sean and Daniel Diaz carrying on their adventure following the events of Episode 1: Roads, as the two brothers find themselves stopping at their grandparents’ home on their journey to Puerto Lobos, Mexico.

It also focuses on Sean trying to help Daniel to control his newfound power, as well as the brothers crossing paths with The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit protagonist Chris Eriksen.

“The power takes a central position in the story as Daniel is slowly coming to terms with his abilities,” reads the synopsis for the episode.

“The brothers have to practice Daniel’s control over his powers so he can be less of a danger to himself and others, but at the same time, they also have to hide his abilities from a world that won’t understand.

“They have come to an agreement on a set of rules for how Daniel uses his abilities in order to keep them hidden: never in public. Never talk about it. Run from danger. However, can a nine-year old really follow the rules?”

Following on from the announcement that the second episode had officially gone gold, the Life Is Strange developer dropped the release times for Episode 2: Rules yesterday.

The forthcoming episode will launch on January 24 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Hardcore Gamer’s review for Episode 1: Roads called it a “shining example of a developer that has built on the success of the first title and only continued to improve with the experience it has under its belt in episodic gaming.”
