PlayStation Classic Continues to see Steep Discounts

The PlayStation Classic launched in early December for $100 and within two weeks retailers began to discount. This cash-in on the miniature classic movement ended up being a half-hearted attempt from Sony as the system is a miniature replica that contains an emulator that renders ROMs. The problem with this was not only the game selection, but the fact that the ROMs were in the PAL version. The PAL version only runs at 50hz as compared to the NTSC standard of 60hz. While workarounds for the system have been discovered, it is still a neat collectible. Amazon is now listing the PlayStation Classic for an all-time low of $53.99. At this price, it may be worth jump to be able to play around with the unit or leave it on your shelf in a box.
