After nearly fifteen years as President and CEO of Nintendo of America, industry icon Reggie Fils-Aime is set to retire from Nintendo in April of this year.
This announcement was made earlier today, with Nintendo appointing the aptly named Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Doug Bowser as the new head of Nintendo of America beginning on April 15. After overseeing the launch of numerous successful Nintendo platforms and titles and being a prominent figure in Nintendo’s E3 press events and Directs, Fils-Aime’s time with Nintendo and his impact on the company will not soon be forgotten.
