Just over a month ago, Capcom released the long-awaited remake of the 1998 survival horror remake to plenty of praise, with our own review calling it “a bigger and more robust horror experience.”

Now, after releasing some free DLC that expands upon the updated take of Raccoon City, the publisher was willing to share in the tweet above that the remake of Resident Evil 2 has shipped over four million copies in its first month. After a more-than-three year wait between announcement and release, it’s encouraging to see that the long wait has paid off for both Capcom and fans alike.
Resident Evil 2 is out now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
