The Sega Genesis/Mega Drive has had an interesting post-commercial death period. It has become a haven for not only homebrew releases, but official translated releases for games ever since Pier Solar was first created for it a decade ago. Piko Interactive has been behind many modern-day Genesis physical translation releases, and now they’re back with Canon – Legends of the New Gods. Originally released in Taiwan as Feng Shen Ying Jie Chuan, Canon offers up an exciting tactical RPG adventure. They acquired the rights to the game and had it translated to work for either the Genesis and Mega Drive – it is also being crafted to work with as many clone systems as possible. There is over 30 hours of action here, and it looks like a great pickup for SRPG fans when it launches in April for $50.
