Satirical UN-Themed Dating Sim International Affairs Gets a Release Date

Great Idea Games has announced that International Affairs will be coming to PC and macOS next month.

According to the independent developer and publisher, the satirical visual novel will land on Steam on April 1.

Players are transported to the United Nations and are tasked with “romancing powerful world leaders while attempting to uncover an urgent and sinister threat to global security.”

Great Idea has said that the dating sim will have branching pathways, adding that the “prospect of achieving world peace has never been so sensual!”

The official trailer for International Affairs, which is posted below, confirms a plethora of world leaders (all under different names, of course), including U.S. President Donald Trump, Russia President Vladimir Putin and North Korea leader Kim Jong-un.

“This is a revolutionary project and the political message behind it is something we take pretty darn seriously,” says Thelonious Spunk, the lead developer at Great Idea.

“Some people seem to think our game is just a fun way to bone down with various world leaders, but in reality, nothing could be further from the truth; it’s about bringing people together with a message of tolerance, understanding and, dare I say, love.

“This has been a true passion project for us. And it’s my sincere hope that the fans will be able to feel that passion when making sweaty, digital love to various heads of state this April 1.”
