Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden Adapts to Nintendo Switch

Nintendo Switch will soon be able to better serve its more tactically-minded players with the upcoming addition of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden to its library. The game borrows quite heavily from the XCOM series, sporting a turn system and UI that most fans of the genre will instantly recognize. However, Mutant Year Zero isn’t the XCOM clone it immediately appears to be. Like many of the mutants featured in the game, there’s a bit more here than meets the eye.

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden goes beyond XCOM’s mission-based structure to give players an overworld to explore, charming characters to enjoy and an actual story to follow. As they do so, players have to build up their ideal team, scavenge for resources and consider carefully whether they want to engage each set of enemies or just sneak past them. There’s a lot to like and dislike about the game, so be sure to check out our full review to learn more.

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden launches for Nintendo Switch on June 25. It’s also available now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
