A Plague Tale: Innocence Goes Gold, Gets New Trailer

A Plague Tale: Innocence is a rather ghastly tale of two siblings trying to survive both a plague of rats and the Inquisition also hunting them in the 14th century. Ever since its reveal nearly two years ago, though, its impressed us quite a bit. The setting and story have quite a bit of potential, and it plays really well. But now, the moment of truth is soon at hand. With a May release date already locked down, Focus Home Interactive and developers Asobo Studio have now announced that A Plague Tale: Innocence has gone gold, meaning we are guaranteed to see a ton of rat-based horror soon.

Considering this notable achievement, it’s no surprise that a new trailer accompanies it as well. And an accolades trailer for recent previews, at that! Unlike previous trailers, though, the clip below focuses more on quotes and the game’s imagery, with no gameplay. But regardless, what we’ve seen of this macabre tales does look highly promising so far, so make sure to keep an eye out for A Plague Tale: Innocence when it hits PC, PS4, and XB1 on May 14.
