The Edenian princess turned Queen of the NetherRealm is back in Mortal Kombat 11.
In a surprise to know one, franchise-stalwart Kitana and her deadly fans are back. NetherRealm Studios today dropped a new TV spot confirming her presence in Mortal Kombat 11. Her confirmation comes after months of rumors, leaks, and trailers hinting at her return. No gameplay was shown, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see her appear in this week’s Kombat Kast.
The reveal of Kitana puts the roster at 24 of 25 fighters. Overall, the roster skews heavily towards classic characters like Raiden, Baraka, Noob, and Scorpion. Skarlet, a character first introduced as DLC, makes her first appearance on a main roster. Four of the seven characters first introduced in Mortal Kombat X make a return, and Mortal Kombat 11 introduces three brand new characters. According to leaks, the final character is Frost, a character first introduced in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Consequently, Frost would be the only 3D Era character on the main roster.
Mortal Kombat 11 is out April 23 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch.
