It looks like Sony are prepping the second of their State of Play video showcases for broadcast later this week. Announcing the date earlier today, State of Play will return for another brief look at upcoming titles for PS4 this Thursday, May 9. Kicking off at 3PM PT/6PM ET, it’s been confirmed that the already-confirmed remake of MediEvil will be the main focus with an extended look, though there’s also confirmation that an entirely new game will be revealed, and more. Sadly we won’t be seeing or hearing anything about the company’s next-gen plans, as noted on the company’s official blog. A third episode is also planned to release sometime later this year.
Sony’s debutant broadcast last March, while offered up some interesting new information and details, did sadly leave many feeling underwhelmed at what was offered overall. While it may have felt a little unfair to compare it to the likes of Nintendo’s own Direct-style series of broadcasts, in a year that looks to be relatively quiet on the PS4 front — and with Days Gone already released — no doubt fans will be hoping for some exciting reveals and updates alike for the console in the remaining latter half of the year.
