Here’s a Look at the Skies of Arcadia-Themed Music Box, Vinyl and CD Editions

Wayô Records today announced a special treat for Skies of Arcadia fans after entering into a partnership with Sega for an exclusive collaboration.

The French label will be releasing the Skies of Arcadia Eternal Soundtrack, which will be available through different versions.

For example, the Vinyl Edition will come in a first print marble blue coloring and will include the original soundtrack and the original piano suite, as well as a new cover illustration from Skies of Arcadia artist Itsuki Hoshi.

There is also a 24-page booklet that features new commentary from the development team and composers, but Wayô has also revealed that an exclusive art print will be available for anyone who pre-orders it (of course, this is while they are still in stock).

While the Eternal Soundtrack is also available in a CD Edition, there is a limited edition music box available for purchase.

The music box, which features an engraving of the critically acclaimed RPG’s logo, will play a “selection from the soundtrack.”

Wayô has said that the two exclusive piano arrangements came from Dutch pianist Ramon van Engelenhoven, which adds a “majestic fifteen-minute medley that will allow fans to enjoy the soundtrack in an all-new way.”

Pre-orders are now being taken on Wayô’s website.

Skies of Arcadia made its debut on the Dreamcast back in 2000 and would be ported to the Nintendo GameCube in North America in 2003.

“Skies of Arcadia has always been special to so many of us,” says Jonathan Khersis, the founder of Wayô.

“It featured beautiful artwork, a memorable journey into unknown lands and, of course, an unforgettable soundtrack by Yutaka Minobe and Tatsuyuki Maeda.

“For this new release, and to celebrate the upcoming twentieth anniversary, I thought it was important to bring several new contents.

“It was fantastic working on the new illustration concept with Itsuki Hoshi and on the original piano suite with our friend Ramon van Engelenhoven.

“I also thought the ‘Main Theme’ really deserved its own music box and it had to be treated with the best quality.

“Today, we are proud to share our love for Skies of Arcadia and hope this will open the way to new exciting projects for the franchise!”
