Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution Announced as Switch Exclusive

Konami today announced that Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution would be coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch.

The Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes publisher has confirmed that the title is slated to launch on August 20 for $39.99 (€39.99).

Link Evolution will not only receive a digital release on the Nintendo eShop, but it will also be available in a physical version.

Speaking of retail release, Konami has revealed that the title will come packaged with three cards from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game.

The three cards confirmed are the link monster Progleo, the cyberse monster Micro Coder and the spell card Cynet Codec.

The Switch-exclusive title has over 9,000 cards, which is the most for any Yu-Gi-Oh! title, and features characters from the series’ different arcs, including Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V and Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS.

Legacy of the Duelist was originally released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2015, which was followed up with a 2016 release on PC.

Hardcore Gamer’s review for Legacy of the Duelist called it an “absolute dream for fans,” adding that the “wealth of Yu-Gi-Oh!’s card library [has never] been represented so fully nor has the series been treated with such adoration.”
