E3 2019: Pokémon Sword and Shield Compatible with Poké Ball Plus

We had a hefty look at Pokémon Sword and Shield not too long ago. The Nintendo Direct focused on some gameplay modes, bits of story, huge features and of course brand new Pokémon. Now, during E3 2019, we got just a little detail.

The Poké Ball Plus accessory created for Pokémon GO allows for you to carry a Pokémon wherever you go. It can even be used to walk around with one caught in Let’s Go Eevee and Let’s Go Pikachu. And it was revealed today you can also use it in Sword and Shield. The longer you walk around with a Pokémon the more likely something good will happen.

Remember, newly purchased Poké Ball Plus devices contain a Mew. So, you’ll already be able to transfer the mythical Pokémon to Sword and Shield. However, it cannot be used as a controller like in the Let’s Go games. If you were iffy on picking up the device, it seems being compatible in three different games it could be worth purchasing.
