Axon Park Offering First Full Semester Course in VR

Today, Axon Park has announced that it will be offering a full semester course that will be taught completely in VR. The professor for this course is the CTO of the virtual reality company Survios, which is responsible for games such as Raw Data, Creed: Rise to Glory and the upcoming Walking Dead Onslaught. Alex Silkin, who is also the co-founder of Survios, will be working with support from the Unreal Engine team to teach Unreal Engine VR Master Class. This class is targeting expert-level game engine developers who want to master the Unreal Engine. The course will last for 14 weeks and meet twice a week in VR.

As for Axon Park, this is a virtual campus where students and teachers can meet from anywhere. It has teamed with SpringboardVR to enable location-based VR technology to help make this happen. Tuition is just under $2500 and the course begins September 4, 2019. Students must also have access to a VR-ready PC with either Oculus Rift or Rift S. There are also scholarship opportunities for this course.
