Another E3 has come and gone, and although it may have been a quieter convention than usual, there were still plenty of exciting upcoming titles for attendees to get their hands on.
Many of these games were nominated as part of the annual Game Critics Awards, which sees over sixty media outlets voting on their choice for the best titles across a variety of categories. The re-debut of the remake of Final Fantasy VII was memorable enough for the Square Enix title to not only win the E3 2019 Best of Show, but the Best Console award as well. id Software’s Doom Eternal was the only other title to win two awards this year, picking up both Best PC Game and Best Action Game. Additionally, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 was the only non-playable title to win an award, receiving a Special Commendation for Graphics.
