E3 2019: VoltEdge Teases Things to Come

VoltEdge is primarily known for their line of gaming peripherals, particularly headsets. VoltEdge is planning on releasing several new gaming products into the gaming world this year. Currently, however, most of the details about their plans are being kept under wraps, but when Hardcore Gamer recently met with them and checked out a few of their wares we were generally impressed with what they had to offer. We tried out a couple different headsets that were nice, especially for the price point, and a surprise item that excited us.

The VoltEdge TX70 is a wireless headset compatible with PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. The TX70 is designed to be an economical headset that delivers quality in excess of what the expectations would be at its price point. The TX70 is equipped with temper tuned 50mm drivers, added EQ mode and a sleek comfortable design complimented by high-quality cushions wrapped in cooling athletic mesh. We tested this out for a little bit playing some Spider-Man on PlayStation 4 and for given the budget price for a wireless headset we were impressed with what we heard. The TX70 will be coming out later this year with a MSRP of $59.99

The 3D Audio Array was s surprise for us at the VoltEdge booth. This a first of its kind product that provides a three-dimensional experience using a series of small speakers arranged into a linear array. What this is exactly is a speaker box the sits in front of the user, ideally under a computer monitor or laptop. This device uses signal processing with an array of speakers to isolate right and left ear audio signals to create an immersive experience by allowing the listener to hear sounds that are near and far, left and right or up and down. This device works with all PC games and content, such as movies and music. The best way to describe the sound is comparing it to a multiple speaker surround sound system or headset with 3D sound technology. This is coming out later this year with a MSRP of $299.99 and is something we are excited to hear more about.

The VoltEdge TX40 Universal headset is an entry level wired headset and is compatible with any device that has a 3.5mm jack. This headset has a nice retro design to it with copper plated steel and black athletic mesh cushions. The 40MM high impact drivers deliver thumping bass to high quality gaming audio while picking up on all the subtle in-game ambient noises. The TX40 is out now with a MSRP of $29.99. This is a basic, no-frills headset, but for the price point I was shocked at how good it sounds. If you need a good universal headset, don’t care about bells and whistles and don’t want to break the bank, this model is perfect.

There are many options for gaming headsets and VoltEdge seems like a good option for people looking for budget pricing but still with some quality to it. The two headsets we saw seemed like good options, especially in their price brackets, but what we are most excited about is the 3D Audio Array. More coverage on these and other VoltEdge products will be found here as the information becomes available.
