Hunt: Showdown Launches this August on Xbox One and PC, this Fall on PS4

Crytek today announced the release date for their their competitive multiplayer first-person shooter.

Hunt: Showdown blends co-operative, competitive, and survival elements into a single game. Playing solo or with a friend, players head into the swamps of Louisiana to hunt monsters and each other. It’s an exciting blend of modes that has delighted players during the game’s Early Access phase on Steam and Xbox Game Preview. In August, players can finally get their hands on the full game.

Hunt: Showdown launches August 27 on Xbox One and PC for $39.99. PS4 players will need to wait a bit longer to try out the game. The game is slated for a fall release on the platform. For those who want a physical version of the game, Crytek is partnering with Koch Media to bring the game to store shelves.

As an Early Access game, Crytek has worked with the community to improve and update the game with new content. Since entering Early Access on Steam in 2018, Hunt has received nearly 20 updates. When the game launches, players can enjoy a new boss, a new map, new times of day, improved AI, and lots of new weapons. As a thank you to the community, all Early Access owners get an exclusive Legendary Weapon skin.
