The War Continues in Total War: Three Kingdoms – Eight Princes Expansion

After the tumultuous events of Total War: Three Kingdoms, it seems peace has finally come to China. The Jin Dynasty rules, and the citizenry can go about their normal lives without fear of interruption. This is still the Three Kingdoms period, meaning that civil war is never all that far away. The instigators of this next great war will be the eight princes ruling over the great Chinese houses. War is coming; one prince will reign supreme over the rest. It’s just a question of who.

Total War: Three Kingdoms – Eight Princes is a new standalone campaign available in both Romance and Records modes. Within it, players will be introduced to each of the eight princes. As with the previous crop of hero units, all princes come with their own unique traits and units. Imperial guardsmen, cataphract cavalry and mounted archers are all available for players to deploy to the battlefield; they need only pick the prince they’re associated with.

Total War: Three Kingdoms – Eight Princes launches for PC on August 9.  Check out our full review of Total War: Three Kingdoms for a better idea of what’s in store for the expansion.
