As we creep ever closer to Astral Chain’s release, we continue to learn more about the development that went on at PlatinumGames. The latest blog update interviews Director Takahisa Taura and character designer Masakazu Katsura on the process of the game’s development. This gives insight into how the early development went from creating characters without much reference and how the main characters weren’t intended to be twins. Takahisa also mentions how the title originally had a more medieval fantasy approach before Nintendo suggested a different direction.
