A Way Out’s Price Comes Tumbling Down on Amazon for Xbox One Owners

Amazon has drastically slashed the price of the critically acclaimed A Way Out on Xbox One.

Hazelight Studios’ co-op action-adventure title, which was released in 2018, has a 67 percent discount in place and is now priced at $9.89.

According to the online retailer’s website, the offer is only available for a digital copy of A Way Out.

Players team up with a friend in A Way Out and take control of either Leo or Vincent, who are two convicted prisoners.

All of the action from both characters’ perspectives happen simultaneously on the screen as players must break them out of prison and stay on the run from the police.

Hazelight Studios’ title allows players to run through the story in either local split-screen co-op or online, with the campaign not supporting a single-player mode.

The title was released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and was a commercial success for the developer after it sold over a million copies.

A Way Out director Josef Fares announced last year that he was “incredibly excited” to work on his next title.

While Hazelight’s next project has not been officially revealed, Fares confirmed that it was not a sequel to A Way Out.

“What I can say is that it’s not A Way Out 2,” the Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons director told Rock, Paper, Shotgun in June.

“But it’s going to be something with story, and in many cases remind [players] of Brothers and A Way Out, but in a very different way.”
