Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition Announced, Out Today

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games today announced a Game of the Year Edition for Marvel’s Spider-Man.

Insomniac Games’ take on the webhead launched nearly a year ago to critical acclaim. After years of so-so attempts at Spider-Man games, Insomniac knocked it out of the park. Combining great storytelling, visceral web-swinging mechanics, and an engrossing gameplay loop, Marvel’s Spider-Man became the best-selling superhero game of all time in the U.S. Now, players who missed out the first go-around can pick up the game with all the DLC included.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition is out today for $40. The game comes packaged with the base game, all three story DLCs, and the post-launch paid costumes. There’s also tons of post-launch free content that’s available right out of the gate, including some pretty sweet costumes.

You can pick up the collection today. In other news, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced last week they had acquired Insomniac Games. Hopefully this leads to plenty of more quality Spider-Man titles.
