WWE has just revealed a new trailer for WWE 2K10 showcasing some of the company’s biggest legends. The Ultimate Warrior is featured in ice sculpture form, while Dusty Rhodes is shown as a statue. Steve Austin compliments Becky Lynch on being The Man while Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Sting, and Hulk Hogan join the debate on who The Man was in their era. A bit of gameplay footage is shown with the main event of WrestleMania 35 as the final match in the Women’s Evolution 2K Showcase mode.
The showcase features some of the biggest matches for the women’s divisions in WWE over the past five years. A variety of major Takeover matches are replicated along with prior main roster matches like the WrestleMania 32 triple threat and the historic first-ever WWE PPV main evented by women in Hell in a Cell 2016 with Charlotte against Sasha Banks. WrestleMania 24’s Charlotte vs. Asuka match is featured, which could mean the in-game debut of CG graphics as an overlay alongside the revamped version of Charlotte’s theme used for that event.
WWE Evolution’s Becky vs. Charlotte classic will also be included, and will show off a completely different style of match than anything else in the mode. It was far more of a Memphis-style brawl with stunt bumps and highlight reel-moments than the division is used to seeing, and was very much akin to what you would see in FMW in the ’90s with the women busting out things that would normally just be done by the male wrestlers. WWE 2K20 will be released on October 22 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
