Vertigo Games and InnerspaceVR today announced that A Fisherman’s Tale would be heading to Oculus Quest before the end of 2019.
The announcement was made at Oculus Connect 6 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in California, which is held from September 25 to September 26.
But Vertigo and InnerspaceVR have not confirmed an official release date for its arrival on Oculus’ VR headset.
A Fisherman’s Tale has players taking control of tiny fisherman puppet Bob, who must turn the light on at the lighthouse after the radio broadcasts a storm alert.
The VR title, which has been described as a “mind-bending” experience, was previously released for the PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality headsets.
“We are thrilled to announce that A Fisherman’s Tale will soon be available on Oculus Quest,” says Balthazar Auxietre, the creative director and co-founder of InnerspaceVR.
“We are putting in all our efforts to create an experience that is on par with the PC version, but with the complete untethered ease offered by Quest.
“We have been amazed by how powerful the platform is for such a compact and affordable device.
“Being able to bring our game to a new platform with such potential is really exciting and we hope that Quest users will be delighted by the adventure of our little fisherman puppet.”
