During Twitchcon, Razer has revealed a new streaming microphone that will display emoji reactions from people watching your stream. The Seiren Emote is the first professional grade microphone that will display emoticons so streamers can see feedback directly in front of them. The 8-bit Emoticon LED display is powered by Razer’s Emote Engine. This synchronizes aspects such as reactions, alerts, chats, follows, donations and more. Streamers won’t miss out on interactions with this setup. “Up-and-coming streamers are looking for more ways to engage with their fans and grow to new heights in order to become like their idols,” says Alvin Cheung, Senior Vice President of Razer’s Peripherals Business Unit. “With the Razer Seiren Emote, we are providing them with a new creative avenue, enabling an additional layer of interaction between streamers and fans that is truly fun and engaging.”
Streamers have a choice of 100 emotes to use at launch, but will be able to customize their own in the Razer Streamer Companion App. As for the Seiren Emote microphone, Razer promises crystal clear audio thanks to a hyper-cardioid pickup pattern that captures the subtle nuances in voice, while eliminating any background noise that might disrupt streams. It will also feature a built-in shock mount to help eliminate bumps and unwanted noises in audio. The Razer Seiren Emote is available now on Razer.com for $179.99 and will roll out to retailers within the next month.
