WWE 2K20 is weeks away and it’s looking like it will be a huge week of coverage. 2K itself has revealed the MyCareer trailer – showing off the all-new story mode for this year’s game. Last year’s game had you go from rags to riches, and now, you’ll be able to play as both a male and female superstar as you deal with things like your family doubting whether or not you can succeed. They’re going for telling a story that makes you care more about your character and shows more of their interactions with the roster – which looks like a nice improvement from the past. Like the story modes in the NBA 2K games, you get a lot of focus placed on the person behind the star – here, showing off things like time at school or traveling around towns.
WWE 2K19 featured some pretty unique story mode arenas and that trend continues here – with some supernatural ones focusing on Undertaker, Matt Hardy’s broken universe, a winter-themed event for an indie show, and a New Day-themed arena. Beyond the new reveal trailer, Friday will also feature a 2K event for the game and our own Cory Wells will be there to play the game and offer some early insight. The standard, deluxe, and 20th anniversary SmackDown editions hit shelves on October 22, so in just two and a half weeks time, everyone will be able to experience the story and revamped roster for themselves. Pre-ordering the game allows you to play as The Fiend Bray Wyatt and also get the first set of 2K Originals content at no extra charge.
