Ubisoft has revealed the release date for its biggest title update to date for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. This update will feature Episode 2 – Pentagon: The Last Castle and a variety of game improvements. Episode 2 will be available for Year 1 Pass holders on October 15 and October 22 for all players. Additional update content including a PvP map and new PvP mode will available to all players on October 15. New content featured in Episode 2 – Pentagon: The Last Castle includes two new missions, a new Technician specialization, Classified Assignments (exclusive to Year 1 Pass holders), a new PvP mode and numerous fixes and improvements.
Getting into some of these details, the first of the new missions will take place in the Pentagon where agents have to locate the perfusion bioreactor inside the underground research facility. The second mission takes place in the DARPA research labs and includes some abandoned Cold War era tunnel network. These missions are of course made more difficult thanks to the Black Tusk presence. The Technician specialization will be available to Year 1 Pass holders immediately but will have to be unlocked through a series of completing objectives for nonpass holders. The new PvP mode is called Conflict, which is a team elimination match where teams of four compete in a best of seven round fight in Washington DC. In addition to the new mode, there is a new PvP map called The Wharf that takes place in an abandoned fishing harbor. For players who have not have an opportunity to check out The Division 2, there will be a free weekend later this month. Details about this event can be found here and any progress made during the free weekend will transfer to the full game for anyone who purchases it.
