Wired Productions and Hello There Games today announced that the upcoming Avicii Invector would be coming to console and PC this fall.
The rhythm title, drawing its inspiration from the legendary Swedish DJ, will make its debut on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
And the publisher has plans for a re-launch on PlayStation 4, along with a retail release across all platforms.
Avicii Invector was previously released on PS4 and Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, worked on the title for two years.
The title supports both single-player and local split-screen modes as players race through stunning worlds featuring hit songs from Avicii.
Some of Avicii’s tracks in the title include ‘Without You,’ ‘Wake Me Up’ and ‘Lay Me Down.’
According to Wired Productions, proceeds from Avicii Invector’s royalties will be donated to the Tim Bergling Foundation.
The foundation, which was set up after Avicii’s death, battles the stigma attached to mental health issues and calls for the recognition of suicide as a worldwide health emergency.
“Avicii Invector celebrates Avicii’s life and music by immersing players inside the pulsing rhythms, evocative lyrics and beautiful melodies he created,” says Leo Zullo, the managing director of Wired Productions.
“He was an amazing talent, and as an advocate for mental health, I hope and believe this project will bring Tim Bergling’s wonderful spirit to a world that can benefit from it.”
Avicii passed away at the age of 28 in April 2018 after he committed suicide in Oman.
