A frequent show on many a Screenshot Saturday reel — and one we’ve had the chance to go hands-on with on a couple of occasions this year — developer Turtle Blaze’s robot-ninja orientated Kunai, sadly won’t be making the cut as one of the many intriguing little titles to release in 2019. Together with publisher The Arcade Crew, it was announced that the game will instead be focusing on a planned release for both Nintendo Switch & PC, sometime in early 2020. The game had originally penned a vague 2019 launch, but that no longer appears to be the case.
Kunai, though may be regarded as a Metroidvania by design, has a few neat twists and turns to the regular explorative formulae. Namely the more acrobatic-orientated controls and ability to get easily up large vertical shafts and regions of the game world. Allowing for those with a bit more of a speedier mind-set, to get things done. We’ll be sharing our thoughts on the game very soon, and why you should be on the look out for this potential gem in 2020, but in the meantime if you want a refresher, you can check out the original reveal trailer for Kunai, below.
