Code Yellow Update Now Available For My Friend Pedro

Devolver Digital has had quite a busy year when it comes to publishing hit games, with but one example being the carnage-filled My Friend Pedro. But if you thought developers DeadToast were done with their 2D slow-motion bullet ballet…well, then you clearly somehow missed the title to this news article. A new free update called “Code Yellow” has been released for the game, bringing a batch of new additions with it in order to help keep the mayhem fresh.

Code Yellow’s additions include an in-game timer for speedrunners and the ability the hide the HUD and/or disable checkpoints for those who want a challenge, but the big draw is the addition of fourteen modifiers earned through the story mode that can alter the way you play the game, as seen in the trailer below. These include Big Head mode, cinematic cameras, infinite ammo, and more, which you can mix and match in order to create your own anarchic delight. To celebrate the new update, My Friend Pedro is thirty percent off this weekend on both the Switch and PC versions, so now is one of the best possible times to pick it up.
