Last month saw the end of yet another financial quarter, and Nintendo has revealed their own results from the period lasting between July 1 and September 30 of this year.
As of September 30, Nintendo has sold over 41 million total Switch units, including nearly two million of the just-released Switch Lite handheld in its first twelve days on the market. Meanwhile, total software sales have increased to a grand total of 246 million, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe still leading the way at just over nineteen million. Just below that is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which managed to surpass fifteen million and become the best-selling game of the franchise. Two new additions made their way onto the top ten best-selling first-party Switch games, with Super Mario Maker 2 at ninth with just under four million and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening just below it reaching an impressive three million in under two weeks of recorded sales.
