Alone With You, Home Could ‘Totally’ Receive Nintendo Switch Ports

Benjamin Rivers has suggested that it is “totally possible” for two of his titles — Alone With You and Home — to be ported to Nintendo Switch.

When Hardcore Gamer asked the Canadian-based developer in an exclusive interview if Switch ports could happen for both titles, he responded: “That remains to be seen!

“GameMaker Studio 2 makes porting easy, so it’s totally possible.

“It all depends on our workload over the next little while; we are also eager to get started on something new…”

Rivers dropped the action-adventure horror title Home on PC in 2012 and it would later head to iOS devices in 2013.

And the title would make its debut on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2014.

The Home creator dropped Alone With You on PS Vita and PS4 in 2016 before landing on PC in 2017.

The Canadian-based developer released his latest title, Worse Than Death, on Nintendo’s hybrid console last month, along with simultaneously launching on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam and the Humble Store.

While Rivers would welcome Switch ports for Alone With You and Home, he has shifted his attention to his next project and said there is a “95 percent chance” he’ll make another horror title.

He continued: “We have a few potential projects we are deciding between right now, so I don’t exactly know what’s next, but I do know it’ll be story-driven, dark as hell and will hopefully give you nightmares.”

Rivers has admitted that he would “love” to make a sequel for Worse Than Death, which he called the second part in his “small-town horror saga.”
