Singstar, DriveClub Servers to go Offline in Early 2020

Sony Interactive Entertainment today revealed that servers for Singstar and DriveClub are going offline real soon.

The reality of online gaming is that nothing can last forever. After a while, the servers will be pulled, which is the unfortunate reality Singstar and DriveClub fans have to deal with early 2020. Both games are set to lose their online functionality real soon, meaning you’ll need to get your last online hours in quick.

For Singstar, the servers for the online SingStore go offline on January 31, 2020. At that point, all online functionality, network features, and digital music downloads will cease. You can still play the game offline, but features such as purchasing and downloading new songs, uploading content, and competing online won’t work. This shutdown affects all Singstar games on PS4, PS3, and even PS2.

As for DriveClub, those servers shut down on March 31, 2020. You won’t be able to access any online features after that date. However, you can still play the game offline if you already own it. Unfortunately, DriveClub, DriveClub VR, DriveClub Bikes, and all DLC are no longer available for purchase. Sony Interactive Entertainment ceased selling the game and all its DLC on August 31, 2019.

If you want to enjoy these games in all their glory, be sure to check them out before their servers go offline.
