Where the Water Tastes Like Wine will be hitting consoles next month, and it’s about time. Dim Bulb Games’ narrative adventure title earned all manner of praise upon its launch in February 2018, and it has gone on to earn a “very positive” rating on Steam since then. Indeed, this is a title that console-based fans story-driven games will probably want to take a look at.
Set in Depression era America, Where the Water Tastes Like Wine takes its players on a journey through the country as an unnamed traveler. Many other travelers are encountered over the course of the player’s wanderings, each with a story to tell. They won’t tell their whole story right away though, so it’s up to the player to figure out what each character needs to hear before they’ll share the full tale. It’s different to be sure, but it might just be different in the best way.
Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is available now on PC and launches on December 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
