Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, 2.8 Announced for Xbox One

Square Enix today announced that the remainder of the Kingdom Hearts saga is coming to Xbox One.

Kingdom Hearts, like Final Fantasy, has long been entwined with the PlayStation brand. For years, the only place to experience the entirety of the Kingdom Hearts saga was on PS4. That ends in 2020 when all the games launch on Xbox One.

At X019, Square Enix announced that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix and 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue are coming to Xbox One. The two titles include every single mainline Kingdom Hearts game released before III. It’s a nice addition for Xbox owners, but unfortunately comes a year after the release of Kingdom Hearts III. Both collections have been available on PS4 since 2017.

Speaking of Kingdom Hearts III, Square Enix today announced the availability of a new demo available on PS4 and Xbox One. In the demo, players face off against the Rock Titan in the Olympus world, and team up with Buzz and Woody in Toy Box. Players can transfer progress made in the Olympus section to the full game after purchase.

Kingdom Hearts III is available now on PS4 and Xbox One.
