Multiple Final Fantasy Games Announced for Xbox Game Pass

Square Enix today announced that a large amount of Final Fantasy games are coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2020.

The publisher took the stage at X019 to confirm the news. While Final Fantasy has been entwined with the PlayStation brand for more than two decades, Square Enix has still made an effort to broaden the appeal of the franchise. That began in 2010 with Final Fantasy XIII, and has continued since. That effort continues in 2020 on Xbox Game Pass.

In 2020, numerous titles will begin appearing on Game Pass for Xbox One X and Windows 10. The notable exceptions are Final Fantasy XI, whose servers on Xbox 360 went down in 2016, and Final Fantasy XIV, which is currently only available on PC and PS4. Here are all the included titles:

  • VII
  • VIII Remastered
  • IX
  • Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster
  • Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
  • XIII
  • XIII-2
  • Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
  • XV

All titles are available now on Xbox One for purchase. We’ll let you know when each title launches on Game Pass.
