Minecraft Dungeons Finally Has a Release Window

When the Mojang gave Minecraft fans their first glimpse at Minecraft Dungeons gameplay during E3 2019, it was revealed that the developer was aiming to release the game sometime in Spring 2020. During Microsoft’s recent X019 presentation, a short new trailer was released confirming that release window. Check it out below:

A release month is, of course, not the same as a specific release date, but fans can now reasonable expect to see Minecraft Dungeons release during the first half of 2020. For those unaware of Minecraft Dungeons until now, the game is a dungeon-crawler of a kind similar to Diablo and Torchlight. Player will be tackling ever-more dangerous dungeons and collecting ever-more powerful gear along the way.

The goal: defeat the Arch-Illager and save the realm as either a solo hero or as a member of a heroic party of four. While there may already be a Minecraft mod somewhere out there offering a similar experience, it’s very likely that it’ll pale in comparison to what Mojang is building with Minecraft Dungeons. So, it’ll probably be something Minecraft fans will want to look into.

Minecraft Dungeons launches for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in April 2020.
