Bayonetta and Vanquish Remasters Announced for PS4, Xbox One

Sega today announced that remasters for Bayonetta and Vanquish are indeed real and coming early 2020.

Ten years after their original releases on PS3 and Xbox 360, Bayonetta and Vanquish are getting a new lease on life on PS4 and Xbox One. The Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle, which leaked last week, is indeed real, and it launches a lot sooner than expected. Players can pick up the bundle on February 18, 2020 for $39.99.

Bayonetta and Vanquish are some of the first games developer PlatinumGames ever released. Both titles received wide praise at launch, but didn’t perform well commercially. These remasters give players another chance to experience two fast-paced, and extremely fun games. PS4 Pro and Xbox One X owners can enjoy the game remastered in 4K resolution at 60fps.

Bayonetta first released January 2010 in North America and follows the titular Umbra Witch as she tries to piece together her lost memories. A sequel, Bayonetta 2, released in 2014 as a Wii U exclusive. A third game is currently in development for Switch.

Vanquish, a sci-fi third-person shooter, launched October 2010 and follows Sam Gideon as he attempts to take back a hijacked space station. Unlike Bayonetta, Vanquish never got a sequel.

Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle launches out February 18, 2020 on PS4 and Xbox One. Both games are currently available on PC via Steam.
