Shred Apart Hordes of Demons In Metal: Hellsinger

Well, it happened again. The stars aligned, and we wound up with two indie games close to each other that somehow share an oddly unique concept. Last month we had BPM: Bullets Per Minute, a rhythm-based FPS game where you slay hordes of underworld demons. And now, fresh from IGN’s Summer of Gaming and the Guerrilla Collective’s first day, we have Metal: Hellsinger from Funcom and developers The Outsiders, which shares a similar setup. Of course, that doesn’t mean it can’t kick ass, as seen in the announcement trailer below.

Playing as a human/demon hybrid, Hellsinger sees you battling you way through the infernal planes of Hell on a quest for vengeance, leading to a showdown with The Red Judge. Every legend has a song, though, and the more you fire perfectly in time with the beat, the more intense the music and action gets. Said music also has performances by members of Trivium, Arch Enemy, Soilwork, and other metal bands, and narration by Troy Baker capping it off. It sounds like a rather epic opera, so keep an eye out for Metal: Hellsinger when it hits PC, PS4, XB1, and next-gen consoles in 2021.
