Next week sees the highly anticipated release of the remaster of Bioware’s beloved sci-fi trilogy featuring Commander Shepard and their crew of memorable human and alien cohorts.
The developer has already detailed a number of the gameplay changes and shown off the enhanced visuals, and now the latest blog post has provided some updated information on how Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will run on both consoles and PC. For PC owners, players can expect framerates and refresh rates of up to 240 FPS/hz, alongside the standard customizable visual options. Over on console, players will have the option to favor either quality or framerate. For players who prefer quality, the game will run at 1080p on base PS4 and Xbox One, and 4K on all other consoles, with framerates capped at 30 FPS except on PS5 and Xbox Series X which will support 60 FPS. Meanwhile, players who choose to prefer framerates will enable the game to run at up to 120 FPS on Xbox Series X and 60 FPS on all other platforms. However, the base resolution for this option will be 1080p on base PS4 and Xbox One, and 1440p on all other platforms.
Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is set to launch on May 14 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
