EA, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games today released Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on next-gen platforms.
Though we knew a next-gen version of the game was coming, the fact it is available now is quite a surprise. Players who already own the game on PS4 and Xbox One can upgrade to the next-gen version for free. Meanwhile, those who haven’t tried the game yet can pick it up for $39.99.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S bring a slew of technical improvements. Expect to see better textures and assets across the board, a 4K resolution, and an improved 60fps mode. However, what’s going to impact the experience the most are the significantly faster loading times, which is fantastic considering how long Fallen Order’s load times got on PS4 and Xbox One.
In terms of graphics, the PS5 and Xbox Series X feature a Performance Mode. When turned on, the game runs at 1440p and 60fps. When off, the resolution is bumped up to 4K, but the frame rate takes a cut to 30fps. On Xbox Series S, the games is locked at 1080p and 60fps.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is available now on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. You can also get it on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia.
